I Sverige är flerfärgade pudlar utfrysta i showringen med hänvisning till "pudelstandarden", men numera kan dem flerfärgade pudlarna med import-stamtavla registreras i SKK med tillägget "otillåten färg" i stamtavlan.
Och detta är faktiskt ett litet steg mot bättre framtid. Stamtavla är dock, som jag ser det, en sorts kvalitetssäkring för hundarna vi föder upp.

Den svenska Pudelklubben som bestämmer standarden för pudlarna här i Sverige, hänvisar sin standard till den Franska pudelstandarden. Eftersom den franska pudelstandarden inte inkluderar dem flerfärgade är dem alltså inte "tillåtna" här hemma. Men numera har man börjat föra opinion om Parti Pudlar i den franska massmedian och Franska kennelklubben.

Vi får invänta med spänning på reaktioner...och hoppas på en öppning i reglerna i framtiden.

Dear Friends,

If we are writing to you today, it is because we need your help to give substance to the Association of ... by making our existence more widely known, and therefore acquire more members.

Who are we? We are people with a passionate interest in dogs, the Poodle, and in particular the Poodle Party one. What is special about this type of Poodle, which can be toy, dwarf, medium-sized or Royal, is that it possesses a gene called "PIEBALD." This gene makes it possible for the Poodle to have a basic color and patches of another color: black, blue, chocolate, gray, apricot, red, cream).

The Poodle Party came to light a long time ago, as can be proved by several references in literature and engravings dating as far back as the XIth Century. It is recognized in several countries as a pure breed with accompanying pedigree (USA, Canada, Germany, Australia) but no longer in France since the end of the Second World War. Single-color purists then decided to classify it as a defect disqualifying it from the standard. This brought to an end, at least in France, the possibility for the Poodle Party to take part in exhibitions, which led to its virtual extinction.

In the UK, some breeders, enthusiastic about this type of coloring, continued production and it is largely thanks to their descendants today that we can find these marvelous Poodles abroad. Indeed a resurgence of the Poodle Party has started in the USA, Canada, Germany, Russia and Hungary, since the early 1990's. This has allowed the recent introduction into France of a few specimens.

The aim of the Association ... is to make this marvelous Poodle better known, with its gracefulness, beauty, elegance and its delightful character. We shall do all we can to promote and protect it, and retains its special characteristics, in the hope that some day soon it will be able to take its proper place, alongside single-colored Poodles and on some equal basis, within the standard of the race, in dog shows, and with the possibility of obtaining French pedigrees.

We hope to gather together in this Association all lovers of the Poodle Party in France, as well as all enthusiastic and supportive of our aims.

It'sa DREAM COME TRUE

We had dreamed of doing it for a long time. Nathalie and I had discussed the matter for hours, and various friends who were as much in love with the Poodle Party as we were, had often joined the conversation. Finally, we had achieved it! Yes, our club was born. The first club in France, ever, to promote the Poodle Party.

And I am very proud to announce here the official creation of the Association of Poodles Bicolore in France, the French Club of the Poodle Party in France. The official was registered at the Prefecture of Alpes-Maritimes (French state administration in the south-east of France), on the 27th of June 2008. Mention of the club was published in the Journal Officiel of the French Republic "on the 12th of July 2008.

The goal of the club is to introduce the Poodle Party to and into France, to promote it and protect its characteristics, and also to gather all the people, present and future, who love this breed.

By gathering in a club which is officially recognized by the French administration, we become stronger in the way that we gain credibility. We also gain bigger and larger possibilities of action, with a deeper impact.

But the road is only opening, and we know that it will be long and winding. Our strength is our belief, our hopes, and our will to lead the battle for the Poodle Party as well as we can. We have already received messages of support from countries such as the USA, Canada, Germany, Hungary and Russia. We are very happy to France to join this international movement, hoping that we too, will obtain the same recognition for the Poodle Party, the single color poodle already has from the FCI and the national clubs around the world.
